Brennan's Pub's Turtle Races

Hi all,

First of all - what happened to this year? We're already in December.. can't believe it. And, the Tull-looloos' Date Night Adventures have been going strong for almost two years now. I think. (Wifey's going to kill me for not remembering now!)

Anyway, for the Dec 9 Date Night we wanted and had planned to attend the Downtown LA Art Walk. It's a monthly thing where a bunch of artists come out of the woodwork to display their creations. I've heard a lot about it, but haven't had the opportunity to go. So, that's where Wifey and I intended to go.

But, alas, as things usually turn out by the time we were able to get out of the house it was already 9pm, and (according to the artwalk website) hitting the tail-end of the event. Sad, but not yet defeated, we decided to go see the Turtle Races at Brennan's Pub instead.

The one thing you should know about the turtle races is that you are not, under any circumstances, to point at the Turtles. This is the rule, and it is enforced. You need to go there to see why!

Anyhow, with a couple of drinks and a lot of turtle racing Wifey and I had a most excellent date night. Glad to get into the swing of things again, and determined to get new ideas, lest we fall back into movie-dinner routine (Routine = booooo-hiss!)
